Flag Day 2011: April 9th

During this day I realized that some people don't even bother to donate some money to the poor, whilst some just give the money without even asking! Although I do think that Hong Kong people should care and donate more to the poor people. During this service, I realized that telling other people to donate was a very difficult thing, since some citizens might think it is a scam and some just won't bother too. Before this service, I usually don't donate money to flag sellers because I think they are NOT giving it to the poor. From now on, I understand that they usually aren't cheating on our money. This service helped me learn that donating money is actually a difficult thing to do so I will now donate when I see people selling flags.

Bonsai Buddy: Dormio Chu

Bonsai Buddy is one of the greatest things that I experienced. Bonsai Buddy is not really a trip but just spending time with a little friend from 2nd grade. This MAD Project takes place throughout the year but its very fun just chatting and playing games with them is a lot of fun! We can experience the past what is it like to be an elementary kid and share feelings with other about school and other things. This is a picture of my Bonsais Buddy, he is a cool kid! He always like to play games and talk to me about his weekends. I am very glad that Dormio is my Bonsai Buddy and hoping to join again next year :)

Coastal Cleanup

On this trip, many people were split into a few groups to clean up the beach. At first, we didn't really find much trash but as we started digging in deeper into things, we found tons of trash like bottles and very weird trash! The beach looks like there isn't much trash but there actually a lot of trash that can hurt people when they go to the beach like broken glass bottles etc. On this trip I learned that we should try our best for everything, God gave us the ability to take care of this world. So we must use this ability that God gave us to save the environment.
